the optimized HICON PRO+ XLR connectors in a conductive full-metal housing reliably protect their interior from external factors. External interference signals are optimally shielded while signal losses are reduced to a minimum.
Together with the proven SC-SOURCE MKII HIGHFLEX studio microphone cable (art. 200-0101), which is specially designed to withstand interference from electrical sources, SOMMER CABLE offers a perfectly protected connection cable (art. SCCF) for the demanding radio and studio technician.
The cable has a wire cross-section of 2 x 0.25 mm² made of the finest 0.05 mm OFC copper strands. It is very easy to reel and guarantees high bending cycles. Its double shielding made of aluminized fleece plus copper spiral shielding ensure a 100 % optical coverage. In addition, the fleece has been vaporized on both sides with a conductive aluminum layer; this guarantees that the 100% shielding stays intact even under heavy-duty use and that the cable remains absolutely noise- and crackle-free even under difficult conditions. Perfect for environments where electrical sources could interfere with audio and data transfer.
The HICON PRO+ XLR connectors are available in 3- and 5-pole versions and optionally with silver- or gold-plated contacts. They feature a rugged, nickel-plated or black conductive full-metal housing with a metal cap.
All variants are equipped with a transparent coding ring that allows for subsequent individual labeling. The 6-jaw chuck type strain relief ensures a secure cable fixation, reliably holding cables with a diameter of 4.0 to 8.0 mm. The 3-pole gold-plated versions also include an extra strain relief for smaller cable diameters from 2.5 to 6.5 mm.
