Whether it’s impressive fountain systems, interactive water features, architectural lighting installations or maritime applications – anywhere water, light and technology must work together reliably, high-performance and dependable connection solutions are essential. With the SC-AQUA MARINEX POWER DMX Sommer cable presents a hybrid cable developed specifically for these requirements, combining power supply and DMX/AES/EBU data transmission in a single cable (see also: https://www.sommercable.com/de-de/aquamarinex).

The SC-AQUA MARINEX POWER DMX combines three power conductors (3 x 2.50 mm²) and two conductors (2 x 2 x 0.22 mm²) for DMX or AES/EBU signals in a single cable assembly. This eliminates the need for complex parallel cabling and makes installations significantly more organized and efficient.

For long-term outdoor use, the cable is equipped with a particularly durable PUR outer jacket. This jacket is resistant to saltwater, freshwater and chlorinated water, making it ideal for fountains, water attractions, coastal facilities or marine applications. A water-impermeable, water-absorbing and pressure-equalizing protective banding reliably prevents moisture from entering and spreading inside the cable, ensuring safe, long-term operation even under extreme conditions. This high level of durability is complemented by halogen-free materials and excellent resistance to UV radiation, microbes and cold. Even at low temperatures, the cable remains flexible and can be easily reeled onto a drum.

The SC-AQUA MARINEX POWER DMX is suitable for permanent installation in water depths of up to 20 meters as well as for long-term outdoor installations at events. The hybrid cable also impresses with its durability in amusement parks and hotel complexes. Thanks to the combination of power supply and DMX/AES/EBU data transmission, DMX lighting consoles, spotlights, underwater lights and control systems can be conveniently connected via a single cable.
